Working With Tru Talent Is A Wonderful Experience
Working with Tru Talent Management has been a wonderful experience. The whole environment and industry is way different than any other jobs I’ve had. My job is to schedule appointments and make sure the people who have been scouted come in for auditions. Everyone treated me with a lot of respect and I was actually really intrigued with the professionalism. I also had a great experience working in the make-up room. I’ve done hair and make-up for people getting their photo shoots done and it was amazing!
Getting to work with people and making them look like celebrities and having them change from one style to another was an unforgettable experience. I definitely enjoy doing hair and make-up especially in the end when I get to see people’s reaction as to how different they look. I love putting a smile on people’s faces, it lets me know that my job was well done, and to me, there’s nothing more important than that! When I see the kids I worked with come in for their classes they are always happy to see me and always give me hugs.
Working in the agency has helped me learn a lot about what really goes on in the industry. It’s fun and exciting, and at the same time, it can really help your career out if you want to pursue your dreams as an actor or model.

How The Fashion Industry Has Changed - For The Better…
The concept of what a model should look like has changed drastically over the years. At one time, blue-eyed blondes were all the rage. Eventually the world came to appreciate glamorous brunettes, and eventually more attention turned to African-American models. Coveted jobs of magazine covers and editorial spreads are now, more often than not, being given to actors and a more eclectic group of models.
From the start of modeling industry supermodels were everywhere that you looked. They were larger than life - appearing on multiple magazine covers, on all the top designer runways, in high-profile ad campaigns. It seems that now days top supermodels are quickly being replaced by other, more off-beat models and, mostly, by actors. They are replacing the supermodels as the fashion icons of today. These girls make come as a rebellion from the “perfect” image of the latter-day Barbie-doll supermodel. The new models are quirky, fun, and different, in both looks and attitude. Many are not classically beautiful. It’s a reflection of fashion and its constant change.
In my view this change to the industry is a positive one when considering the amount of new talent seeking careers in the modeling industry. The change gives a lot more opportunity to young men and women whom at one point in time may have foreseen themselves shouting out to the world of modeling. We should keep in mind the world of fashion is constantly in flux. Fads and trends come and go not only in the clothing designs, but also in models and the media’s version of what is a “celebrity”. The celebrity status that the top models had in the day of the supermodel may never be duplicated, and the new models that are rising in the ranks are creating their own eras and making their own, distinct mark in the industry.
No longer do U.S.based manufacturers used plus size models only for showing their plus-size clothing lines. The bias against larger consumers and models pervasive in the fashion industry as far passed on. So much so that plus size models can be seen in high fashion ads and runways throughout the entire nation. Today’s top fashion magazines and advertising campaigns have depicted plus-size models as embodying a return to the voluptuous classic beauties of the past.
There are many misconceptions concerning the modeling and fashion industry. Most new talent may be unaware about the many changes that have taken place overtime. Passed opportunities which seemed unobtainable to so many now present themselves lucrative paths to obtaining and successful career as a fashion model. That is why proper representation and guidance is important for achieving your full potential. In my opinion, TRU Talent Management is a great place to start your endeavors.

Modeling & Fashion Shows
Whether you’re an amateur model working your first runway show, or have walked the runways of Paris, Milan, and New York, a fashion show always brings a rush of adrenaline every time a model walks down the catwalk.
Being present at a fashion show is the experience of a lifetime, whether you are a model, designer, guest, or even just a photographer observing from the sidelines. Whether one is a well known or a new up-and coming designer, every fashion show that is produced is history in the making.
Throughout the years, fashion shows have hosted, showcased, and brought to fame many designers, models, and celebrities. In whichever location held, the fashion show has become a Mecca of the fashion industry. The history of the fashion show dates back to the early 1900s.
The fashion show is not only the promotional linchpin of a multibillion dollar industry, but it was also central to the development of the department store and hence to the rise of American and European consumer culture. The problem may be that the fashion show, like any performing enterprise, is by nature short-lived.
The fashion crowd is always in pursuit of the next thing; therefore it is imperative that every upcoming show and clothing line is more unique than its previous line.
A Fashion Show gives designers an opportunity to reach a more international audience, as it allows editors, writers, and buyers from abroad to see the world’s best work at a single time, in a single place.
Even though it can feel these days like it’s always Fashion Week, the average woman is now more removed from the fashion show than ever. Now, the fashion show belongs to Manhattan or Paris the way the movies belong to Hollywood, the spectacle exists elsewhere, apart from our everyday lives. A great place to get involved with the modeling industry, in my opinion is TRU Talent Management.

Anyone Can Be A Model With A Little Talent & Training
Many people out there love taking pictures and have fun posing in front of the camera. Their pictures always look amazing and they love doing it, but they never think of modeling.
Our society has given the impression that you have to be very tall and a waif if you want to model. That could not be further from the truth. If you don’t believe me take a good look at the ads out there everywhere. Television, billboard, magazines, store posters, catalogs, etc. Look at the moms, the dads, the kids. Modeling is so much more than a tall, skinny woman in heels walking the runway in NYC.
All the advertising and media out there uses models for so many different things. You hear people joke about things such as hand models, but guess what they exist. The simple fact is anyone can be a model. If you want to be a model its like any other field out there in the world. You just need a little training. I’m not talking about the trainer at the gym. You need training to teach you how to move in front of the camera. How to angle your body and change up your facial expressions. How to grasp the idea of what the photographer is looking for, and then how to expand on that idea with your own. Its training that anyone can get and like anything else just takes a little practice. You need to build confidence and learn to compose yourself when you are a model.
So if you love being in front of the camera, or even if you’re a little shy but have toyed around with the idea, take a chance. You’ll be amazed at what you can do. Everyone is different and unique in their own way, but you will never know unless you try.

Do You Have Talent? What It Takes To Become An Actor or Model
First all models and actors/actresses should have a strong drive and desire to be one. There is a lot of work required for both that call you to devote time and money. So devotion is definitely a key step in being successful in the business along with a good attitude. To arrive at your auditions with a positive attitude is very important, it leaves a good footprint with the clients and they will more likely be willing to call you in for more projects and give you a good referral.
As for models, there is a physical standard that is required to be considered for eligibility. Most models in the fashion industry keep within a range of someone who is 5’8” to 6’ tall and from a size 8 to a size 0, also depending on the client, requirements do vary but for the most part usually a tall, slender and long legged figure is desired. Also striking distinguished characteristics are desired such as a strong jaw line for men and large luscious lips for women. So whether it is something minor or something prominent, uniqueness is something desirably called for in the industry.
As for actors/actresses one of the main things clients look for is presentation, how the individual puts himself out there. Are they outgoing and able to funnel their energy in a controlled and professional way? For them to present themselves professionally is important because it shows that you can be an independent businesses person who will show your clients that you can be self motivated. Also being able to act is as important as the previous qualities, and bringing them all together will help you be a good and professional actor that clients will want to work with.

Important Facts To Take Note Of
There are a lot of important elements to the industry that are key and vital. One for instance is the make-up artist, the make-up artist is very important. They allow the features of the model to be highlighted and brought out. The slightest touch with color can bring a very dark, mysterious look to the eyes or a very warming, seductive look. So make up can adapt the model to the environment in which the client is looking for and that is why it is so important because it allows the model to become more useful to the client.
Another is clothing, and the model wearing the clothes. Both go hand in hand because the model and the clothes combined are in itself the expression in which the designer is trying to express. Models with more subtle looks bring softness to what they wear, and models who have more defined looks can bring more of an edge to the clothes and vice versa. Clothing also says something about what market you are trying to reach. There are neutral, conservative and extreme clothes that appeal to a certain crown more so than others.
Last but not least is photography, which is important in many different ways to the industry. One is that it is used to project and capture the fashion to a mainstream audience, which are the people who pick up the magazines and are the consumer shoppers. A designer can then send their message to a certain audience through promotion or ads. It is also important in portfolios; models can set up their portfolios with numerous photos and other multimedia involving that which the photographer helped produce to show to the clients. It helps present the model in a serious, independent, and professional way. It also helps to capture moments expressed by the model that help set the mood of the environment

My Experience With Working At Tru Talent
I started with this company 3 years ago as a scout. Wow that was a hard transition in my life. Came into the industry with no real previous experience and met with a person working here. He began to open my eyes to the amazing world of acting and modeling. So I began to go out to malls, clubs, and concerts, scouting for what I thought could be a good actor/model. I did this for a little over a year and a half.
Then out of nowhere I got this amazing promotion to become a New Face Director here in the office. The company relocated me to Las Vegas. This was one of the most amazing adventures that I have ever had in my life. I moved here from a small city in Alabama, transitioning to this big city fast life of being a talent agent. They taught me everything I needed to know about becoming a solid acting/modeling agent. They taught me how to be tactful, respectful, and confident. It was the most amazing time of my life. Over the next year I did this and did this very well. I was really good at picking talent that had real potential. My talent have appeared in anything from Monday Night Football, Super Bowl Commercials, Wii Video Games covers, Play station 3 video game covers. Having my talent do this work is the most thrilling part of my life. Sitting at home and seeing my talent book this type of work is my most amazing accomplishment.
Looking back on my career here; I would not change anything in the world. I owe more than you could ever imagine to this company. They have taken me from being a kid with no experience, and turning him into a professional business man. So if you are ever thinking of working for Tru Talent Management then I would recommend that to anyone in the world.

Increase Your Talent With These Acting Tools
There are many things an actor needs to have before actually getting on to a movie set for a major or even a minor role in a film. We like to refer to these things as “tools of the trade.” An aspiring actor may be very good at one or several aspects of acting yet may still require knowledge of many more aspects before being ready for a major audition and role.
Let’s say for example an aspiring actor comes in to meet with an agent about beginning a career as an actor. First he/she will need to do a “cold read” (lines from a script) so the agent can determine what level of skill is possessed at that point. That person may do very well at that point but still lacks the full emotional content needed to pull of the piece and land the role in an audition, or may not have made sufficient eye contact. Perhaps that actor did not know how to “slate for the camera” (Stating name and representing agency). There may be a variety of things that were not present at that cold read thus necessitating additional knowledge. This is where the needed trade tools are going to be needed.
Among the tools are knowledge of such things like cold reading techniques, the language pertaining to the film industry, head shots (pictures of the actor), technical aspects of auditioning for movie roles and commercials, finding one’s mark, understanding comedic and dramatic timing for scenes involving two or more actors, being able to “go to that place” in one’s mind to draw the necessary emotions needed to make a piece “come alive.”
All of these tools and knowledge are necessary for an actor to acquire if success in the industry is to be had. These essential tools are gathered through rigorous training and lots of practice. Every actor of note has these tools and has studied hard to get them. Moreover, there is not an actor alive that has not had training and who does not continue to train as his or her career progresses. Acquiring these tools is not enough. An actor must continually train in order to hone the skills and to sharpen the mind so that no matter what part comes up the actor is ready to meet the challenge.

Grasping The Concept of Acting
This acting thing of ours is a very strange thing. It is so strange that the average person can never do it or understand it. It is alive and vibrant. It fills audiences with excitement, intrigue and wonder. Why? Because it appeals to the senses and makes a human feel all tingly inside. To use an eastern idea, real acting or excellent acting is actually “acting without acting.” That may sound kind of contradictory but it makes perfect sense.
We have a saying in acting; “don’t get caught acting,” and “if you need eye drops for a crying scene then you better go back to the workshop” until you can cry. Here is the explanation: Acting is really the “stuff of everyday life.” The reactions to a particular event one has experienced are sometimes vivid memories or reflections of emotions experienced while living. The concept of acting involves the reflecting upon these events and emotions and then drawing from them to create reality.
An actor sends a message in a particular piece performed and that is done very subtly.
It can be a message of love, hope, despair, anger or insanity but it must be sent and be felt by the audience. It has to be a performance that captivates and draws full attention the people who are striving for your attention. When an actor has the stuff of life to draw from and does so effectively causing the audience to feel the emotion and believe it, then that actor has done a great job. So the concept of acting is not to fake it or become someone else but to be one’s self and draw from every source of experience to make a role come to life and be felt. Acting is about feeling and being heard, seen and FELT.
